Other places to see..
Oconee Heritage Center in Walhalla, SC is a great place to visit. I recently went up there with my sons Scout Group and I personally was really impressed. It is great to learn a little about this areas rich history. I would also suggest looking out for a program on the History Channel titled "Hillbilly: The Real Story" it also had some local history, and featured a couple of Upstate South Carolina stories.
